02/01 ME Squat

11" Box Squat 200x5, 240x3, 280x2, 320x1, 365x1, 405x1, 420xmissed PR Attempt, 365x1, 315x3x2
KB Swing Thru's 95x4x8

Workout got cut short due to my son waking from his slumber. I was a little disappointed with the PR Miss, I dont think my mind was totally into it, and to boot the last time I did a ME on this movement was back on November 11. But fear not, i will get another crack at this sucker in two weeks. I fought with that friggin 420 for a good 10 seconds before giving in so i definitely got some strain in. and of course to comply with prilepin i went down to 365 for 1 and then 315 for two sets of 3 because i felt like such a pussy for missing the 420. KB swing thru's werent too bad, performed these with two hands in case anybody was wondering. tomorrow i will do some sort of active recovery for the lower body as i suspect i will be pretty sore. Those friggin 315 sets were bitches after the other shit....as i type this now i feel better about the workout, while i was doing it i was feeling disappointed like i wasnt performing enough work. Guess there cant be PR's everyday otherwise the world would be full of Elite lifters........

I always hate missing a PR. However, you are absolutely right. There can't be PR's everyday. In 2 weeks you'll kill it.

I hope so, i also gotta work on my hip flexibility as well as hamstrings, i've been getting kind of rounded in the hole lastely. as i think back now i didnt concentrate on alot of aspects i.e push gut out against belt, burying the neck in to the bar and pushing elbows forward so right now its not much of a surprise i missed it, im thinking of printing these points up and mounting them on the wall in front of me so i have some visual cues....we'll see how that works..........

Not every day can be a pr day. Take the good with the bad, you wil bounce right back and nail them PR's

Very nice box squatting! You aren't using a milk crate as a box, are you? I used to have one and it was exactly 11" tall...

Yes ManU does rule though i am from Manchester NH in the US, spent 3.5 yrs over there and loved it.....no its not a milk crate, i made this out of 4x4's and plywood, i was originally going for a 12" box but it turned out to be 11", that being said is why i am no carpenter.....thanks for stopping by....
